Ultra Tough New Markers Perfect For The Skilled Contractor To The
Weekend Warrior and Just In Time For Spring
February 16, 2004 (Bellwood, Ill.) - If you want something done, do it
yourself. Or simply let the professionals do it. In either case, the new
marking tool from Sharpie is sure to get the job done for the weekend
warrior to the skilled contractor.
Sharpie, the popular brand of permanent markers celebrating 40 years in
2004, today announced the Sharpie Professional, a ultra rugged chisel
tip (board and fine line) marker series that lasts longer than standard
chisel tip markers. The marker has a rubberized oval-shaped body that
provides easy gripping and a new low-odor ink which is permanent on most
hard to mark surfaces - including wet and oily.
"Sharpie markers are already for an almost limitless number of
projects," said Matthew Millies, brand manager for Sharpie. "But until
now, there has not been a Sharpie marker that is targeted squarely at
what these groups are looking for - an even tougher tip and barrel, and
super permanent ink."
The new Sharpie workhorse will also be making its mark during the NASCAR
racing season as title sponsor of the premiere NASCAR Busch Series race
at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) on March 27, the Sharpie Professional
250. Sharpie also headlines the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Sharpie 500 in
August at BMS and the #97 Sharpie Ford driven by Kurt Busch.
The Sharpie Professional marker comes in 1-, 2- 3-packs and dozen boxes
(black, blue and red) and starts at a suggested retail price of $2.09.
