be $1 million for a lucky fan at the Sharpie 500
Bellwood, Ill. - March 23, 2002-
Sharpie, the world's most popular family of permanent markers and title
sponsor of the Sharpie 500, today unveiled a special one-time paint
scheme for Winston Cup points contender Kurt Busch's No. 97 Ford.
The car, decked out with "You Could Win $1,000,000" from Sharpie and
littered with money graphics, will race in the Food City 500 on Sunday,
March 24 at Bristol Motor Speedway. The car marks the official kick-off
to the public for Sharpie's "You Could Win $1,000,000" sweepstakes to be
awarded at the Sharpie 500 on Saturday, August 24.
"A fast million is a dream for just about anyone," said Kurt Busch,
driver of the No. 97 Rubbermaid/Sharpie Ford and Winston Cup points
contender. "I look forward to the Sharpie 500 all year and I know the
fans are already counting down the days until the Sharpie 500. Once it's
over, someone could be counting up their money."
The sweepstakes, found on specially marked Sharpie packages, runs from
March through August 13, with one lucky finalist getting the chance to
win $1 million at the Sharpie 500. Individuals interested in
participating should look for specially marked Sharpie packages in
