Hello. Thank you for reaching out to us. These markers are meant to be used ideally on black boards, glass, light boards, and white boards. Sharpie Chalk Markers are designed to be more durable and resistant to smudging compared to regular chalk, but they still come off fairly easily with the right methods. Generally, they should be cleaned off surfaces within a few hours to prevent any potential difficulty. If left for an extended period of a few days or more, they can become harder to remove. If you have any more questions, please reach out to us via our Contact Us form on our website. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am - 5pm Eastern Time. Thank you! Sharpie® Consumer Care

Sharpie Chalk Markers are highly recommended to be used on black boards, light boards, white boards, windows, glass, and more. If you, we're going to use the product on painted surface. We recommend trying it on small area first for you to see the result.
