Is there a way to ensure that ink stays on Glass cups? Maybe by putting the glass on the oven or by using a sealant? Or should I use a different marker? I would like to make hand painted wine glass cups, which will be washed after each use.

Hello. Thank for reaching out to us. Our Sharpie Oil-Based Paint Markers can be washed off of glass using soap water, therefore we can not recommend these as you will be washing your glasses regularly. In this case, we encourage you to look through our vast selection on Permanent Markers instead. On our website, search Permanent Markers in the search bar and browse through and choose ones you prefer from there. If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out. We're here to help! Please reach out to us via our "Contact Us" Form on our website. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am - 5pm Eastern Time. Thank you! Sharpie® Consumer Care

Hello. Thank you for reaching out to us. To prepare the glass surface for use with Sharpie Oil-Based Paint Markers, follow these steps: -Clean the Glass: Start by cleaning the glass surface thoroughly with soap and water to remove any dirt, dust, or residue. Rinse the glass well and allow it to dry completely. -Use Rubbing Alcohol: After the glass is dry, wipe the surface with rubbing alcohol using a clean, lint-free cloth. This will help remove any remaining oils or contaminants from the glass and ensure better adhesion for the paint marker. -Allow Drying Time: After wiping the glass with rubbing alcohol, allow it to air dry completely before applying the paint marker. This drying time typically ranges from a few minutes to around 15-20 minutes, depending on factors such as humidity and temperature. -Test the Marker: Before starting your project, it's a good idea to test the paint marker on a small, inconspicuous area of the glass to ensure that it adheres well and produces the desired results. By following these steps, you can effectively prep the glass surface and create a suitable base for using Sharpie Oil-Based Paint Markers. Please note that the ink resists fading, water and abrasions, but it is removable from glass. If you have any more questions, please reach out to us via our Contact Us form on our website.
