The sharpest lines!
I bought these as an alternative to chalk for chalkboard art and I will never go back to chalk again! The lines are sharp and crisp and they wash right off with water!!!

Nevertheless, they can perform well on exterior flat water-based paint if the surface is properly prepared and sealed.
