Hi, Patty. Sharpie Metallic Markers can leave glimmering marks nearly everywhere; however, not optimal on glossy surfaces. In regard to outdoor use, there are several factors that determine how long permanent ink will last. These factors include the surface applied to, the temperature, and the exposure to elements. We are unable to confirm how long ink will last.

Hi, Sully. Sharpie Metallic Markers can write on fabric; however, these are not waterproof. For a launderable ink, we recommend Rub-A-Dub Markers or Stained by Sharpie. These markers are designed for use on fabric, and stay permanent through washing.
