Hi! Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about this. Here are some tips to help you open easily the cap of a Sharpie Permanent Marker, Twin Tip. The Twin Tip Sharpie has two ends: a fine tip and an ultra-fine tip. Each end has its own cap. Hold the marker firmly with one hand. With the other hand, grip the cap near the base where it meets the body of the marker. Make sure your fingers have a good grip. If your hands are slippery, you might want to dry them or use a cloth for better traction. Gently twist the cap back and forth while pulling it away from the body of the marker. This can help break any seal formed by dried ink and makes it easier to remove the cap. Do not use excessive force or tools to pry the cap off, as this might damage the marker or cap. After use, make sure to put the cap back on tightly to prevent the ink from drying out. These tips should help you open and close the Sharpie marker caps without too much hassle. If a cap is stuck due to ink buildup, cleaning the rim of the marker with a damp cloth before capping it again might help reduce sticking in the future. I have always been a favor of the sharpie. However I just threw out my last Sharpie. Purchased a multi pack of the "Doubled Ended" EVERY ONE has failed in the way that when the large cap is placed on the end it locks small cap and neither will cap.

Hi, we are sorry to hear this kind of experience if the large cap from your Sharpie Permanent Markers, Twin Tip got stuck to it's Ultra Fine Part. If this happens, we recommend if you will rotate the the large cap counter clockwise while pulling up to separate to the small cap.
