Hi, Joy. A Sharpie Marker's cap can be easily removed by pulling it up with a twisting motion.

Your product is the only one I have found that will do what I require of it. I mark aluminum and stainless steel for fabrication and the only color that works for me is red. Why won't you sell me red ultra fine permanent markers anymore?

Hi, Marmar. Thanks for expressing your concern with Sharpie. Our Permanent Markers can be removed with alcohol. Note that the result may differ from case to case due to the variety of surfaces, colors, inks and time elapsed before removal. Since there are many variables involved in the removal process, we are unable to guarantee the quality of results. For additional questions or concerns, please contact Sharpie directly. No, it would probably ruin the quilt. Look for some permanent fabric markers that say they won't wash off :)

I love these markers for my art work. However I find that the tip gets damaged or broken easily. Is there any way to fix a broken tip?

Hi! I'm a random person but I also use these a TON for my artwork. I honestly haven't found a great way to fix the tips though. I've had mine split or bend a couple of times too. I try not to put too much pressure on the nib but that's difficult for me sometimes. I've learned to just keep a bunch of extras on hand in case one gets damaged. Thankfully, they're not super expensive haha
