These Sharpie Industrial permanent markers are much better than the standard Sharpie permanent markers, if you need the markings and text to hold up and last for a long time. I use them to label my plants, vegetables and flowers outside. Also I use them in the kitchen when labeling zip locks bags for the freezer to store deer meat and fish and other foods. The ink used in them holds up MUCH better in severe conditions (sunlight exposure, weather, and hot temperatures, and freezing temperatures) than the standard Sharpie ink does in similar conditions. I love this product and definitely recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lynne8488 from Perfect for so many things! I love Sharpie, and it's never let me down. Whether for work or just at home it is the most dependable marker on the market. At work I'm required to write on labels, boxes, packaging, and more several times a day and Sharpie markers last 3 to 4 times longer than other brands. Probably about 4 months at least. I've also never ran into a new marker that was a dud, like i have several times with no names. Plus this industrial version doesn't fade! Can't say enough about this marker!

I got these for my work with art projects and writing on wood, metal, tile and other more unconventional surface and these perform in the field really great! These markers are phenomenal. So far, I have used them to mark wood, metal, concrete, fireproofing, and a variety of other materials. They are showing no signs of drying out, and the tip is still perfect. I've found that hold up to UV, rain, and heat/cold and dry quickly so the writing on plastic tags doesn't get smudged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Trish75 from Good marker as expected I used this industrial black marker by Sharpie to write the names of plants on the plant markers that I’m growing for my upcoming spring vegetable garden. So far, despite the rain we’ve been getting and with my plants being outdoors, I can still clearly read what I’ve wrote on the markers. No bleeding of the ink and the ink has not been affected one bit by the outside elements. I will continue to use this industrial marker for my garden use in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Unclebeebeep from My Sharpie I bought the sharpie because I like this brand and I needed a new sharpie and this one is one of the best sharpies out there I like that it's about the size of and ink pen so it feels good in your hand and it makes nice Sharp clean lines and one of the things is that when you are using it it does not run like some other brands that I've tried before so if you're in the market sharpie is a brand to go with I highly recommend it.

This is a nice marker to have handy inside your house and I use mine to write with when I mail things out and also for everyday use. It is of course a permanent marker so remember to keep it away from your young children or your walls will have pretty decor all over them.

This ink is formulated to withstand extreme heat and steam. It also remains permanent under most chemical washes. I’ve used it to label my storage containers before I put them out in the storage. This sharpies has a fine point. I love these Sharpies!

Because it was an industrial marker, I thought it would be a great choice. It did work well on wood surfaces, but not as great on Styrofoam. I was impressed, though, with how well it stayed on both surfaces throughout rain, snow and sun exposure. Overall, it was a good marker that I would use again!!

The Sharpie Industrial Permanent Markers, Fine Point can be used to write on plastic vials that will be frozen at -80&deg;C. If the vials are critical samples, it is a good idea to conduct a small test before labeling a large number of vials. Write on a few vials and freeze them at -80&deg;C for a few weeks to confirm that the ink remains legible and intact.

Additional Precautions: check the surface of the vials is clean and dry before writing, as any grease or moisture can affect the adhesion of the ink. Allow the ink to dry completely before freezing to avoid smudging.
